...a hint to Darcy's dislike of dance in general? I've always understood that sentence in this way...he doesn't like that much talking either, but conversation must be more acceptable (even if with strangers) than dancing, to him...so, when he sees Lidya and the other girls dancing and making music, he despises them and that way of passing the evening. Infact he's also very unpolite just a minute after, at sir William's famous comment about dance. I don't think that the remark refers to Darcy's eagerness to converse with Lizzy in particular.
