rather taller   Written by Nasima (1/18/2004 3:57 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, On Caroline Bingley..., penned by Ramya
Are you new?

]Poor Caroline, in answering her question, Darcy includes Lizzy in his answer!

But I always think about his answer

"She is now about Miss Elizabeth Bennet's height, or rather taller."

Does that mean that Lizzy is short to be compared with a 16 years old girl, b/c he refers also that his sister might be taller, and I think, Miss Bingle's remark to show Lizzy that she is not tall enough and will look odd between the Darceys.
