I was just rewatching episode 1, and on the way home from church, Mrs. Bennet does tell her husband "He [Mr. Bingley] came down on Monday in a chaise and four to see the place." It's rather hard to hear, but she says it, so perhaps the first time we see the two men is on Bingley's second visit.
