in consequence of the missive, what a sharp eye ; ), penned by Alessia
There are a couple of things I've wondered about in the first episode. At the Meryton Assembly, the camera cuts back to Darcy when Mrs Bennet has excitedly called Jane and Lizzie over to aprise them of her intelligence from Lady Lucas of "Bingley's oldest friend" and his being very worth their notice - at that point! Darcy appears to be saying something - is he muttering to himself about the situation he's in or is he talking to someone? What do you think?
Also, Lizzie says "Mama!" at her Mother's instructing Jane to "thank the gentleman " after saying to Mr Bingley how honoured they were to have him request the next two dances of her eldest daughter? Is this just another occasion when Lizzie is mortified by her Mother overdoing the civility?
Of no real consequence, but when Mrs Bennet is introducing Jane and Lizzie to Mr Bingley and then pointing out her other daughters, she indicates Mary off to her left. The girl with her back to the shot of Mary appears to be wearing the dress that Lydia wears to the Netherfield ball - the one she brings to Lizzie before hand and asks her opinion. Maybe it's just made out of the same fabric - in a small town such as Meryton there must be people who end up with outfits made of the same fabric.
