Also, Lizzie says "Mama!" at her Mother's instructing Jane to "thank the gentleman " after saying to Mr Bingley how honoured they were to have him request the next two dances of her eldest daughter? Is this just another occasion when Lizzie is mortified by her Mother overdoing the civility? Of no real consequence, but when Mrs Bennet is introducing Jane and Lizzie to Mr Bingley and then pointing out her other daughters, she indicates Mary off to her left. The girl with her back to the shot of Mary appears to be wearing the dress that Lydia wears to the Netherfield ball - the one she brings to Lizzie before hand and asks her opinion. Maybe it's just made out of the same fabric - in a small town such as Meryton there must be people who end up with outfits made of the same fabric. |
