I've wondered that too! Written by Kristi (1/14/2004 8:59 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Chapter 5: The Lucas Siblings, penned by kathleen (elder)

]Now, if a 27-year old Lucas daughter was an intimate friend of a younger-than-23-year old Bennet daughter, does that mean that the other daughters were younger than Elizabeth? Or perhaps they were just not as sensible and intelligent as Charlotte?

I've always wondered about that, as well. How long have they been friends? If you count backwards, it doesn't seem that Lizzie and Charlotte could have been friends for too long. Maybe Charlotte started being better friends with Jane, then as Lizzie got older, she shifted toward her.
