Mr, Darcy's mind   Written by Patty Bennett (1/14/2004 8:16 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Disguise of every sort is his abhorrence, penned by Ann2
Are you new?

[Oh, I feel he keeps his mind under very good regulation when answering Miss Bigley's sarcastic remarks. One would think a woman would stop these teazing remarks if she had any pride. How Miss Bingley thought this was the way to his heart I never will understand. I always laugh when Elizabeth/Mrs. Hurst shows up on the walk and Miss Bingley is worried they overheard her rudeness. She should be embarrassed, the chit! No, I think he keeps his mind under very good regulation not showing how he is feeling Elizabeth is becoming a danger. Also I feel he enjoys set downs to people he feels deserves them.

Now on the other hand, in speaking to Elizabeth , don't you feel she does trick him into speaking too frankly? Indeed! He knows she's got him, when she wonders if he knows any such women. Also when she gets him to open up his feelings about his temper.
This is quite abit from our taciturn Mr.Darcy.
