I hadn't really thought of this before, and it has greatly improved my opinion of Bingley. Not that I didn't like him before, but I didn't really see anything too wonderful about him either. But now I see that he is really a great guy (though no one is taking Mr. Knightley's place in my heart! ;-) )

Is this something that would have jumped out to Regency readers, do you think?
