I agree. Caroline changes her opinion so quickly here that it would be easy to miss it by blinking. ;-)

First she agrees with Darcy that woman can only be called accomplished if they do a great many good things (and do them well)!

But when Lizzy says that fabulous line about now being surprised that they "know any" young women who merit this description, Caroline assures Lizzy that she knows lots of women like this.

It seems to me that Caroline is trying much too hard to get Darcy's approval and I daresay Darcy sees that as well. I don't think it impresses him at all.
