Lonely Mary   Written by JOhanna Elisabet (1/11/2004 8:31 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The sisters, penned by Nasima
Are you new?

] The two elders are very close and the two yougest as well, the only one who is lost is Mary b/c she wants to be unique and I think she is happy or convinced herself to be happy .

I was thinking about why Mary was so "alone". What I came up with was a theory that since she was the third child, Jane and Lizzie might have formed a relationship with eachother very early (being so close in age), Mary could have tried to follow her big sisters around. Since she was younger I would think that she looked up to her sisters, but they might have thought it to tiresome to have a little sister around all the time. And then Kitty and Lydia found each other, maybe because Mary didn´t care for Kitty and then she ended up in between.

I´m not saying that Jane and Lizzy intentionally tried to hurt Mary. Only that I´ve seen that young girls tend to stick together two and two and that a third girl often is a little on the side. Any other thoughts?
