for his attraction to Elizabeth might include...

-her delicacy and manners (as contrasted to Mrs B and the younger girls)
-her independence of spirit
-her civil irreverence for the opinions of Mrs. Hurst and especially Miss Bingley, shown in her civilly detatching herself from them when they try to engage both her and Jane's acquaintance.

This last one I would think reason enough to be attracted to her, lol.
