I was thinking Bingley was the middle child Written by Allison Jo (1/13/2004 10:44 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Miss Bingley and her brother, penned by Johanna Elisabet

I don't know what made me assume this but I thought I read somewhere that Mrs. Hurst was older than Bingley and Miss Bingley was younger. If Miss Bingley was older than him, wouldn't she be perilously close to spinsterhood? Does anybody know for sure?
