How differently we see things! Written by kathleen (elder) (1/13/2004 9:04 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The actress who played Kitty, penned by Karrie

I always thought that the actresses looked about right, relatively, for their parts, even though Julia Sawalha is actually older than Jennifer Ehle. Kitty didn't look older than the others to me.

According to the IMDb (internet movie database) site, Polly Maberly (Kitty) was born in 1976, while Jennifer Ehle (Elizabeth) was born in 1969, Julia Sawalha (Lydia) in 1968, Susannah Harker (Jane) in 1965, and Lucy Briers (Mary) in 1967. So Polly Maberly was actually the youngest, by several years, of the 5 actresses playing the Bennet daughters. I thought she looked like the fourth oldest in the part.
