A good memory is unpardonable   Written by Jo Y (2/20/2004 9:56 p.m.)
Are you new?

In Ch 59, Lizzy is telling Jane that she and Mr Darcy are engaged :-) She says:

"You know nothing of the matter. That is all to be forgot. Perhaps I did not always love him so well as I do now. But in such cases as these, a good memory is unpardonable. This is the last time I shall ever remember it myself."

I would be delighted if you would offer your interpretation of this paragraph, especially "... a good memory is unpardonable". Thanks!
