I think its an example   Written by JulieW (2/17/2004 11:11 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Elizabeth taking the blame, penned by Julianne E.
Are you new?

of an honurable, honest woman taking the blame, when no blame really lay at her door.It is a tribute to her character that she took the blame upon herself.

Not in the all emcompassing way that Jane took the blame for everything, but its often the case now and was, I have no doubt the case in JAs time that truly good people shoulder the blame when it is not really attributabe to them.

Perhaps?
