] Jane and Lizzy's sisterly bond was based on mutual affection and respect. At times, this must have enabled them to withstand troubles in the Bennet household.

I agree that sometimes Jane and Lizzy must have felt like it was them against all the foolishness in their household. I wonder if their close relationship with each other helped them to not succumb to becoming as foolish as their sisters. They could reinforce each other's good sense.
