Her Aunt Gardiner tried   Written by Tara O'Donnell (2/15/2004 10:06 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I am quite vexed, penned by Nasima
Are you new?

Aunt Gardiner did give Lydia several talking-tos while they were preparing for the wedding(which went in one ear and out the other) and Mr. Bennet did want to ban the Wickams from visiting Longbourn but was talked out of it by most everyone,in an attempt to gain some social acceptance for Lydia.

Unfortunately,Lizzie's prediction that Lydia's character would be "fixed" as an airheaded flirt came true. Really can't see Mr. Bennet slapping anyone but I am sure he swallowed many cutting remarks(Lizzie atleast gets to say"Thank you but I don't like your way of getting husbands").
