My thoughts   Written by JulieW (2/15/2004 8:32 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The Phillips' money, penned by Ramya
Are you new?

(and they can only be speculation .....:-0)

are that, as

...Kitty Bennet was satisfactorily married to a cleryman near Pemberley , while MAry obtianed nothing higher than one of her Uncle Philip's clerks, and was content to be considered a star in the society of Meryton...." they were all well catered for.

Aunt Philips, who survived her husband(!) became a silly, merry widow on Mr Philip's death .

She became notorious as an intimate of Lord Byron and his circle , leaving the country with him,and she ( and indeed, her money)were never heard of again..........but rumours pesist that she may have been the inspiration for Mary Shelly's less famous novel.." Frankinher "
