Hhmmm... Written by Vania (2/14/2004 4:06 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, But did he seduce Mary King?, penned by kathleen (elder)

Wickham may have been mistaken in Mary King's lack of chaperone. Her uncle took her away to Liverpool. Was there really an engagement and when her relations heard of it they immediately had Mary King end it? Wickham was so close to his mission, but he failed.
