One thing I dislike Written by Kristen G. (1/12/2004 3:18 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, P&P2 Episode 1, penned by Vanessa M

about P&P2 (at least in this 1st part) is the grating and rather drunk-sounding laughter at the Merryton assembly as the dancing goes on into the night. It sounds more like something out of a Roman banquet in Quo Vadis? than something from Jane Austen's world. What is the point? To show that they are in "unpolished society"?
