Telephone signal?

When Lydia is in London with Wickham, she is running her fingers through his hair and talks about the wedding. Then she says that sheŽll burst out laughing that she has done something none of her sisters has done. Close to the word burst I can hear a signal - very much like a telephone - is this only on my tape?
