I do believe that Haggeston is a lawyer.I think he will be used by Mr Gardiner to draw up the marraige settlement.

However- he may only be known to Mr Bennet as Mr Gardiner's attourney.I do not think he is Mr Bennet's lawyer too. Wouldn't that role fall to Mr Phillips? ;-)
