Indeed, and how hard for Jane, as Lizzy acknowledges later, to bear all the anxiety with no confidante, particularly with her sensitive nature. Particularly upsetting, when we consider how hard she struggled to avoid making herself the focus of attention in her disappointment over Bingley and how little the rest of her family seem to be exerting themselves to spare others distress.
