I agree with everything you said, except for this...

]It seems in character for Miss Bingley to lord over Elizabeth that her "favorite" is merely the son of a steward. This is just a continuation of her "kindly meant" warning.

Caroline noticed Georgiana talking more pains to speak to Lizzy after Darcy entered the room, and she probably remembered Lizzy's warm defense of Wickham when she originally 'cautioned' her.

She just used the opportunity to discomfit Elizabeth, and hoped that, perhaps, Lizzy would speak up for Wickham again in front of Darcy.
