] I still think...sneaking out on a walk with Mr Darcy without informing even her sister at Netherfield was desperate moves on her side.

...Mrs. Hurst's comment in ch. 10: "You used us abominably ill, running away without telling us that you were coming out," I think Mrs. Hurst was just using overstatement to make a joke (and maybe, I admit, complain a little at the same time). All Darcy and Caroline were doing was taking a stroll in the garden near the house. If Mrs. Hurst and Elizabeth happened not to be in the room when they decided to go, I don't think it was as inconsiderate as Mrs. Hurst jokingly claims it is.
