...When I was away today and took P&P with me. In a quiet moment I found this passage and marked it as the one you meant. You were quite correct Kathi. Although after reading down this interesting thread of discussion it appears to be Lizzy rather than O.N (or narrator through Lizzy?) Anyway, there is little doubt Darcy had some plan for Bingley and Georgiana to marry. I'm speculating that after the near-elopement of Georgiana with that depraved scoundrel Wickham, understandably Darcy took a terrible fright and became extremely attentive to his sister in all ways.
