Are you new?

A friend tells me there are NO sympathetic clergymen in the whole of English Literature!

Mr Collins' demeanour in this letter is exactly what one might expect from the rest of Jane Austen's portrait of him - mean minded, taking his opinions ready formed from Lady Catherine, a snob and without a drop of real feeling or "aimiablity".
