A translation   Written by Lucy Jean (2/9/2004 1:54 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I need a translator, penned by Margaret Ellen
Are you new?

Here's what I make of the paragraph in more modern language:

Georgiana's elopement had been revealed to no one who didn't really need to know about it except Elizabeth. Darcy was particularly anxious that none of Bingley's connections learn about it because he hoped, as Elizabeth had surmised, that Bingley's relatives would become Georgiana's. Darcy was planning a marriage between Georgiana and Bingley, and although he didn't believe this plan motivated him to separate Bingley & Jane, it probably encouraged Darcy to involve himself more actively in Bingley's life.
