Denny   Written by Emmeline (2/8/2004 4:56 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Denny the rake?, penned by Allison Jo
Are you new?

]...something was dropped by Denny expressing his belief that W. never intended to go there, or to marry Lydia at all,

]Does this mean that Denny knew Wickham's wicked plan all along? (Ooh, I never realized how close Wickham's name is to the word "wicked." Creep!)

I think Denny might have knew. (I've always noticed that about Wickham's name. :)

]This doesn't speak well for Denny at all. Wouldn't a gentleman have cut off all connection with such a scoundrel? Shouldn't he have warned to Forsters?

I cannot think well of Denny because when questioned by Colonel Forster he 'denied knowing any thing of their plan, and would not give his real opinion about it.'[Volume III, Chapter V]
But he might not know how bad Wickham really is.
