I noticed that this week's P&P2's episode has many deviations from the novel text-not that they are bad...:)
At the Lambton-inn scene, the Gardiners are conspicuously absent, and therefore, their suspicions towards Lizzy and Darcy are not shown. An aside about Mrs. Gardiner- though I like her portrayal, she looks neither as fashinable, nor as young, as JA intended!
I love the way Bingley's enthusiastic meeting with Lizzy is shot- perfect!
I wonder why they changed the Gardiner's and Lizzy's morning visit to Pemberley to a dinner engagement. It would have been a nice scene to dramatize, esp. the contrast before and after Darcy enters the room! But, I won't complain- we have 'The Look' instead...:)
Of course, the scene when Darcy chances upon Lizzy after the letters from Jane are wonderful...Darcy- so gentle (sigh!).
While in the book, it is evident that Lizzy is starting to reciprocate Darcy's feelings, in P&P2, it is not so. She is not sure of what she is feeling.
