I love the use of this word to describe Mrs. Bennet's constant whining and inaccurate beratings of this subject as well as all the others. Also, I am assuming that if Mr. Collins really wanted to be charitable, if and when the Bennet ladies found themselves ready to be tossed into the hedgerows upon Mr. Bennet's death, he could allow them to reside there while he and Charlotte and whatever family they might have had continued on at Kent? In any case if the Bennet ladies had found themselves in the situation of having to leave, I wonder how Charlotte would have felt knowing she was getting to live in the Bennet home at the expense of having to see Lizzy and her family put out. What a strange situation entails made on the people involved. Thanks for all the great information.
