Would she need a female chaperone?   Written by kathleen (elder) (2/6/2004 2:35 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Why doesn't Georgiana live at her brother's home..., penned by Karen 2L
Are you new?

Or companion? But then, I suppose that woman could also live in Darcy's London house.

Georgiana couldn't live alone, obviously, and maybe Darcy is not in any one place long enough. If she were living with Darcy would she be expected to play hostess to his guests? Does he entertain in London?

Sorry -- I seem to have raised more questions without actually answering yours! :-)
