Gracious indeed !!   Written by Penelope (2/5/2004 12:26 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Further,, penned by Mary Frances 2
Are you new?

She says it would be discreditable to Mrs Collins if she did not provide a servant to ride with Lizzy and Maria, though she - Lady C - also claims that 'I am very attentive' to these sort of needs. If she was so attentive to the girl's need for a chaperone or attendant, why did she herself not offer to provide one, as she would have far many more servants than the Collinses and more money to enable her to afford it.

Luckily for Mrs Collins's credit and Lady C's purse, Lizzy's uncle has thought of this and provided a man servant for them :) .
