]I don't know how he found them, but Darcy deffinitely went looking for Elizabeth and the Gardiners.

I agree that Mr Darcy looked for them. It is possible that he may have an idea where they are, but then they could have been anywhere on the grounds. So he looked for them and it wasn't hard for him to find them. :)
