So nice of Lady Catherine..

in consequence of the missive, Travel arrangements, penned by Line
To do so would require a complete "redo" of the arrangements already in place at an inconvience to everyone concerned. PP2 doesn't follow the book with the trip home--PP2 has just Elizabeth and Maria meeting up with Lydia and Kitty. However, in the book they travelled to Gracechurch Street first and left there with Jane for the journey to Longbourne.
Granted Lady C may not have known about Jane particulary. It seems to me though that she either had little regard for other's when she has an "idea" and the problems that it might create for them? Or maybe the offer was made with her knowing it wouldn't likely be accepted but by making it--Lady C appears to be a very caring and thoughtful person? |
