Are you new?

Ever so true! Mrs Bennet gets carried all the time. It appears Mrs Long has assured Mrs Bennet that Bingley is single, yet how can she be sure he's not engaged? Right from the start Mrs Bennet jumps to conclusions. Even if unattached, there are other single girls in the locality, some with dowrys. However, aren't her daughters reputed 'local beauties'? That may give her a gleam of hope.... Yet surely Mr Bennet realizes Bingley's presence at Netherfield will have his wife scheming and creating trouble any way?
