"Some people call him proud"   Written by Kristen G. (2/3/2004 3:19 p.m.)
Are you new?

Thus says Mrs Reynolds. But I wonder, who would have called Mr. Darcy proud in his housekeeper's hearing? Perhaps a few servants from time to time, but why would she listen to that sort of talk, or repeat it to gentlefolk? Who, then, while staying at Pemberley (for I assume that the housekeeper of Pemberley wouldn't be anywhere else) would call Mr Darcy proud?
