Do we know all the members of the party?   Written by kathleen (elder) (2/3/2004 2:27 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Large party of friends, penned by Patricia M
Are you new?

When Darcy mentions to Elizabeth (in Chapter 43) that he rode ahead of the rest of the party, he says, "They will join me early to-morrow," he continued, "and among them are some who will claim an acquaintance with you -- Mr. Bingley and his sisters." [emphasis mine]

I take this to mean that there are more people in this party of friends, but these are the ones who are acquainted with Elizabeth. Though I don't know why he didn't mention Mr Hurst. Hmmm. :-)
