he didn't really intend to do it in such a way... I'm sorry, but I have a hard time thinking ill of Mr. Bennet (he's got most of the great quotes you know!) I'm just wondering if perhaps at the moment he couldn't think of any other way to do it (and perhaps did think later that it wasn't the best way to have gone about doing it) I mean how would you have him encourage Mary to stop playing??? I for one really can't think of too many polite ways to do it...
