]I think Darcy was upset about 'losing' Lizzy's respect (even though she never had much for him). (snip) He obviously has a high respect for her judgement.

I agree. If he respected her enough to want to marry her (despite her low connections), my feeling is that he knew he could depend on her discretion with the story of his sister.
