Situations   Written by Johanna Elisabet (2/1/2004 2:13 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, He claims to abhor disguise, but he used it, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

] Darcy concealed from Bingley the fact that Jane was in London for several weeks. That is disguise. In fact, Darcy himself calls it disguise in his letter

I agree that he uses disguise but what I meant was that he might have problem convincing Mr Bingley of something he did not believe to be true. In the case of Jane being in London he could just keep silent. The situation is different if he has to convince Bingley of her indifference, face to face. I´m not sure but I think that kind of disguise would be harder for him. :)
