Only one thing bothers me   Written by B. MIchelle (2/1/2004 11:01 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Dramatic presentation: novel vs P&P2, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

]In the novel we don't see Darcy actually writing the letter, struggling with his thoughts, while in P&P2, we get to see that aspect of the whole letter-writing experience for Darcy. Also in P&P2, we hear the letter spoken in Darcy's voice. That is a very effective way for the viewers to change their opinions of the man.

Very true. The only thing that bothers me is that in P&P2, the writers left out tow line which I thought were very important:

the line that Darcy had often seen Bingley in love before and the bit about Wickham applying to Darcy over and over for the living. IMHO, these are both important details.
