This isn't the first time I've thought Susannah Harker a good choice as Jane Bennet. She looks the regal Georgian beauty, appropriate for the most attractive Bennet sister. And she shows Jane is no superficial person... Jane always tries to hide her inner hurt and pain from her family, only Lizzy sees it. How sad Mr Bennet can be so callous. My guess is he never took Jane's hopes seriously.
