Neighbours   Written by Johanna Elisabet (1/30/2004 6:43 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Lady C is perhaps lonely?, penned by alexl
Are you new?

"Their other engagements were few; as the style of living of the neighbourhood in general was beyond the Collinses´ reach."chapter 30 "Her ladyship recieved them civilly, but it was plain that their company was by no means so acceptable as when she could get nobody else;"chapter 31

Lady Catherine seems to be lonely. There are other families but they might not care for the manners Lady Catherine has. Since the neighbourhood in general are more stylish than the Collinses, I think they would be more on Lady Catherines level, but still she can only get the Collinses for company.
