I don't know I always felt that in the begining he actually quite liked her. Does not the scene in which he tells Miss Bingley and Mrs Hurst that he would not have them be afraid of him give the impression that he likes them and during the assembly dance he even goes so far as to say that Bingley's sisters were the only females that he would dance with! Mmm maybe the problem is that I sometimes find myself sympathizing with Caroline I mean who wouldn't fall in love with Mr Darcy!
