Sadly I was not blessed with your nice nature. I can't help noticing that nowhere does she dispense food, money or clothing (as JA we know from her actions believed was the proper thing to do). She merely "scolds them into harmony and plenty" -forcing them to suffer in silence. I think the passage is pure irony.


But, then..."til I have your disposition, your goodness, I can never have your happiness.":)
