By all means it would have been much simpler to see the parallels if JA had with rather more precision had them discuss the exact degree of importance which is to appertain to the eventual circumstance. But I think that would have been much too transparent and opened her writing up to the charge of being pedestrian, of containing unrealistic coincidences, instead of it being clever foreshadowing with a touch or irony.
