Family duty calls.   Written by Mandy N (1/30/2004 5:37 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Colonel Fitzwilliam, penned by Emmeline
Are you new?

Yes, I was just checking out that passage in Ch.33. Thanks! It does show the mind of Colonel Fitzwilliam. Like his cousin Darcy, he also appears imbibed with a sense of duty.He also mentions 'our habits of expense' though he does not strike me as a man who engages in profligate habits. Hmm. I guess he will have to marry noveau riche. If he didn't seem such a nice guy, I would suggest Caroline Bingley has her match. Now,what she worth, 20,000 pounds? The Honourable Carol...no,no too much trouble for the Colonel! As to the second question, very unlikely unless he chose to confide in his cousin. He would surely have to remain silent and simply hope Lizzy refused him.
