|A few things that don't make sense...

And if Mr Collins has a gig (which he drives Sir William in) why don't he and Charlotte take that to Rosings? I don't believe that a gig would hold four (Maria, Lizzy, Charlotte and Mr Collins) but when it is just the two of them...?
If the Lucases and Lizzy arrived in London "by noon" how could "the morning [pass away] in bustle and shopping"? Wouldn't the morning already be spent in traveling?
It says that the Gardener children hadn't seen Lizzy for a year...why weren't they with their parents at Longbourn for Chirstmas?
Lady C says that Lizzy's taste isn't equal to Anne's. I suppose this means that Anne would pick music selections differently than Lizzy did and in doing so would display better taste (is that correct thinking?). But wasn't Colonel Fitzwilliam picking Lizzy's music ("Well, Colonel Fitzwilliam, what do I play next? My fingers wait your orders") ?
This has nothing to do with anything, but I just had to observe, that "dignified impertinence" (Chapter 29) is the perfect phrase for describing Lady C!
