] I still feel, though, that she switched her original position of feeling it was okay for Bingley to be influenced by friends in the first instance but not in the second. I'm not saying that I disagree with her, only that she sees it differently when Jane is hurt and who wouldn't.

There are at least two other important differences. In the former case, Lizzy's position was that it was OK to change your mind to please a friend, especially over a trivial matter. In the latter, she objected to Darcy using specious arguments to influence one of the most important decisions of Bingley's life. Aren't those material differences?
