It appears Colonel Fitzwilliam has some feeling for Lizzy. Suppose he did decide to make her an offer of marriage. Would his cousin Darcy would advise him against it? Surely Darcy would have to refuse advice, as he couldn't trust his own changing feelings toward Lizzy.
